Basarin was born in 1963 in Gorkij, Russia and graduated from Nizhnii Novgorod Fine Art Academy. He now lives and works in St. Petersburg, Russia. Basarin's world is almost cosmic or fable-like, the space is untainted, and the colors are cool and pure which create an emotional feel. Together with the harmonious rhythm of his compositions the artist brings tranquility and lyrical mood to his work.
