Biography

Solari was born in Valparaíso, Chile. Art having been a lifelong passion, Solari attended the School of Fine Arts in Viña del Mar and studied under Hans Soyka and Carlos Hermosilla. From early on, her art has received high accolades, including the First Prize of Grabado del Salón de Verano (1956) and Second Prize in Applied Arts in the Salón de Otoño de Valparaíso (1960). Goya and Cézanne are notable influences on her painting style. Solari often uses images of doors, windows, the human figure, and flowers in her work. She has had several private and group exhibitions in Santiago, Chile (1987), Viña del Mar (1993, 1996), and now exclusively at the Galerie Elektra.
